Spice Up Pizza Day with “The Pizza Brush” Developed with TABASCO®

paradise partnered with McIlhenny Company, the makers of TABASCO®, to plan and develop the world’s first pizza-specific brush, “The Pizza Brush.” Designed as a “food extension tool,” the Pizza Brush offers a new way to enjoy TABASCO®—by spreading it directly onto pizza. It quickly became an iconic item, adding a fresh twist to the experience of both pizza and TABASCO®. Going beyond typical promotional goods, this initiative was planned as part of “product communication” that connects TABASCO® and pizza. It gained significant attention on social media, especially among Gen Z, creating strong brand momentum.

From Creative Direction to Product Design—A Complete, Integrated Production

paradise led the entire creative direction for this product, from concept planning to the design of its shape, materials, graphics, and other assets. The brush’s form and color combine TABASCO®’s brand colors with pizza-inspired imagery, adding a playful touch that makes people want to try it as soon as they pick it up. In addition, paradise created a full range of supporting assets across multiple touchpoints, including a dedicated website, promotional stickers, instructions, and in-store POP displays. This consistent brand tone visually and experientially communicates the product’s appeal, creating a well-rounded connection with end users.

Experiential Design Through a Collaboration with Pizza Slice

To launch the product, paradise held a collaboration campaign with popular Tokyo pizza shop Pizza Slice. At the store, a booth was set up where people could actually use The Pizza Brush to spread TABASCO®. This created a unique experience that encouraged people to share on social media. Additionally, a lottery giveaway for the product and distribution of limited-edition stickers helped build an enthusiastic fan community, especially among younger audiences. This hands-on experience, built on direct customer interaction, was praised as a successful brand activation that seamlessly connected digital and physical engagement.

Playful Product Communication Creating a New Face for TABASCO®

“The Pizza Brush” became a symbolic experiential communication for TABASCO®, a brand with a long history. Through this unique, art-directed project, paradise helped translate the brand’s playful spirit and innovative nature into both visuals and experiences, bringing them into everyday life. By creating a new connection between pizza and TABASCO® and redefining the brand’s positioning to feel more approachable and culturally grounded, this project set a fresh direction. Looking ahead, paradise will continue to explore the intersection of food and creativity through bold ideas and craftsmanship.
