paradise handled art direction and copywriting for the ad visuals of “SUMMER SHIELD,” a high-performance fabric developed by TORAY. The campaign won Gold at the 2025 Senken Distribution Advertising Awards, praised for balancing strong functionality with compelling visuals—earning attention as a fresh take on B2B material advertising. SUMMER SHIELD is an innovative fabric combining heat shielding, light blocking, and UV protection in a single layer. TORAY is focusing on its applications across apparel, outdoor gear, and construction materials. Instead of just listing features, paradise sought to capture the fabric’s essence through evocative imagery and emotional impact.

Bringing the World of High-Performance Fabric × Scorching Desert to Life in CG

The main visual uses CG to recreate SUMMER SHIELD’s texture and details, set against a scorching desert. Depicting the fabric floating gracefully amid extreme heat and burning sand, it strongly conveys the material’s durability and lightness. To fully showcase the material’s appeal—such as the weave, light reflection, and natural drape—the team focused not only on photorealistic CG but also carefully adjusted color temperature and texture to create a highly refined visual.

Evoking Every Summer Scene Through Copy

paradise also developed the advertising copy. The main line, “Gear for a new era—takes on the heat,” was crafted to evoke more than just temperature—it conjures images of intense summer heat, harsh UV rays, and demanding outdoor environments. The body copy not only lists features, but also emphasizes a sense of freedom—how this material liberates you from the typical limits of summer. It offers companies and brands a clear, positive reason to choose SUMMER SHIELD.

The campaign marked a bold step toward redefining what B2B advertising can be. It received the Gold Award at the 2025 Senken Distribution Advertising Awards and earned high praise both within and beyond the industry. paradise will continue to pursue creative work that bridges the gap between technology and emotion.
